This article focuses on the fantastic tourism result for 2006 in Spain with 842 million arrivals and a 4.5% growth rate in Madrid. These figures confirm the good result of the year and foresee a growing for the next four years. Concerning the long-term long-term, an annual growth rate of 4.1% through 2020 is expected. The main reasons which lead to that are :

- the emerging of countries in development
- the arrival of sustainable tourism in the international development
- a favourable economic outlook, a growing global economy
- a better information for traveller & and the increase of security feeling.
