This article focus on the evolution of hotel's amenities : infact, today guests are looking for new complimentary services or in-room amenities and so it has become a challenge for hoteliers.
For my part, this is probably due to the competition : each hotel wants to be unique, different & innovating and it's also linked with the wave of design or concept hotel were immoderation is a key point.
Even if it could be dangerous to modified some pillar of hotels amenities, I think clients are a little bit fulled up of classic service and want to be surprised.
Such eg of new amenities or services : customized wake-up calls, pillow menu option, guestroom goldfish, E-Butler Service
